Precision Calibration Services

Garber Metrology offers a range of precision calibration services to ensure your measurement equipment works properly and produces accurate outputs. Our knowledgeable staff members are equipped to perform calibration of various weights and accuracies on a range of equipment types across nearly any industry.

What is Precision Calibration?

Precision calibration is the process of comparing the output of metrology equipment with known standards to determine the equipment’s performance and accuracy. If the equipment proves to be inaccurate, a technician makes adjustments to correct the level of error.

At Garber Metrology, we calibrate every piece of equipment as precisely as possible to meet or exceed industry standards for acceptable error. We also have several accreditations. We are ISO 9001 Registered by NQA and ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 Accredited by ANAB.

5 Common Types of Precision Calibration

Our knowledgeable technicians have extensive experience providing a variety of calibration services on equipment across countless industries. The five most common types of precision calibration services we provide include the following:

1. Pressure and Vacuum Calibration

Pressure and vacuum gauges can be dangerous when not properly calibrated. At Garber Metrology, we can calibrate pressure equipment up to 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and vacuum equipment up to 25 hectograms (hg).

2. Fluid Property and Volume Calibration

Fluid property and volume measurements determine the temperature, density, viscosity and volume of liquids and gases. Improper calibration can affect valve flow and lead to outcome errors or dangerous handling of potentially hazardous fluids.

3. Electronic Calibration

While electronic measurement tools can deliver remarkably precise measurements, they need to be calibrated regularly just like any other metrology equipment.

4. Surface Plate Calibration and Resurfacing

Garber Metrology technicians calibrate surface plates through precise methods to ensure accurate measurements. We can also resurface any plates that are not following specifications. We follow federal specification GG P 463 for granite surface plate resurfacing and calibration.

5. Torque and Mass Calibration

We complete torque and mass calibrations using precision calibration equipment in our temperature-controlled laboratories to ensure stabilization.
