On Sunday September 7th, Garber Metrology employees and families volunteered to help with COBYS Bike & Hike Event, which was listed as an option for the United Way Day of Caring Campaign. The Bike & Hike is COBYS signature fundraiser, held each year at the Lititz Church of the Brethren, Lititz PA.
500-plus people participated in a three-mile walk, 10 or 25-mile bike rides, or 65-mile motorcycle ride. Our employees helped with registration, directing & assisting walkers along the route and handing out tee shirts to each participant.
Keith Myers, Precision Calibration Group Manager, also participated in the Motorcycle Ride event and Jan Stoltzfus, Administrative Assistant participated in the Silent Auction event, each giving a donation to help support this ministry outreach to children and families.
COBYS provides safe homes for children through adoption and foster care services and many other services to help children and families reach their full potential. You can learn more about COBYS at www.cobys.org.
