Birthday:  March 24, 1952

Hometown:  I was born and raised in Montrose, a small town in Westchester County, New York, not far from West Point.  South of us was Sleepy Hollow where the Headless Horseman rode.  After moving from Vermont, we now are residing in Lancaster since 1987.

Title/Position:  Executive Administrative Assistant

What do you do in your position?   I currently handle the purchasing, accounts receivable, collections and the usual customer service needs for the Weighing Solutions Group.

What interested you originally to do the work that you do?  We moved from Vermont and built a motel here and I wanted a part-time stress-free position; 26 years later, here I am:)

What is your favorite part of the work you do?   Talking with our manufacturers and especially our customers.

What is your favorite experience you had with a client or your favorite achievement in servicing a client?   There have been so many things that have happened over the years.  I have been in most every position on the scale side here at Garber’s.  I think since having owned our own business that servicing the customer’s needs has always been a priority of mine.  Customers who are happy make for happy business owners;  life is so much easier.

What are your favorite things to do when you’re not working?  Going away and relaxing.  Spending time with my family and friends – I am a new grandmother and she is just so cute…not just because she is mine:)  Everyone says the same thing:)

What is your favorite childhood memory?  Just hanging out with my friends and riding our bikes everywhere.  We all would go ice skating in the winter and go swimming in the summer and after dinner go to the park up the street until dark.

What is your favorite food?  Italian.

What is your favorite beverage?  I will usually try new drinks, but wine is my go-to drink of choice.

What are your 3 favorite movies?  Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman and Godfather Pt 1

What are your 3 favorite bands?  The Beatles, Aerosmith and now I like Maroon 5 (Adam Levine is so cute!)

What was your first concert?  So long ago…it was Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY.

What are your 3 favorite restaurants?  Locally, we see our friends at Applebee’s, Christina’s back home in New York and Carrabba’s Italian Grill (I like the house wine).

Have you ever wanted to throw a test weight through a wall?  Not so much a weight…much too heavy.  I have had other thoughts, though…especially doing collections.
