What do you do in your position?   I live, sleep and breathe thinking of how we can improve upon our employee and customer experiences.

What is your favorite part of the work you do?   Sharing my time with such a smart, engaged group of people with the same level of passion I have to deliver extraordinary service to our customers.

What is your favorite experience you had with a client or your favorite achievement in servicing a client?   After 28 years, that’s a tough one.  I guess it was the time I visited a new truck scale installation job site in northern PA at Girard Coal Company with my eldest son when he was 5 or 6 years old.  The “Girard” in Girard Coal comes from Stephen Girard, French-born, naturalized American philanthropist and banker.  He is credited with saving the US Government from financial collapse by funding the War of 1812 and becoming one of the wealthiest Americans of all time.  The coal mine is on a land grant from William Penn.  Girard Avenue and Girard College in Philadelphia as well as the town of Girardville are named for him.  Most of his money was gifted to charities, manywith a focus on orphans and children.  What made the day so special was that it represented the first time my son “job shadowed” me, a memory captured in pictures that I will never forget.

What are your favorite things to do when you’re not working?  Coffee and conversation first thing in the morning with my best friend and spouse, Karen.  Family travel to warm venues, golf, fireside and/or poolside conversation with good friends.  Trying to be a good role model for my two teenage sons.

What is your favorite food?  Fresh, grilled, wild caught seafood.

What is your favorite beverage?  Assuming you’re looking for an answer more interesting than water, I would have to go with Pennsylvania Farm Show Chocolate Milk Shake!  (Only 1 per year)

What are your 3 favorite movies?  Forrest Gump, Avatar, Roman Holiday

What are your 3 favorite bands?  Boston, Keith Green, Zach Brown Band

What was your first concert?  Ted Nugent, Kix and Krokus at City Island in Harrisburg, PA (when Ted was sporting the loin cloth and Tarzan rope entry…wild times!)

What are your 3 favorite restaurants?  Pinchos Grill and Bar, Aruba (one memorable visit;  Sunset Grill in Ocean City, MD; Iron Hill in Lancaster, PA

Have you ever wanted to throw a test weight through a wall?  Probably once a week, my expectations for myself and others can be too high at times!
